Truth for Today
The book of Revelation is the ultimate action thriller. Anyone who loves books filled with adventure and excitement will certainly love this book. The amazing Revelation contains drama, suspense, mystery, passion, and horror. It tells of apostasy by the church. It spealks of unprecedented economic collapse, and of the ultimate war of human history - the war that will truly end all wars. It describes natural disasters rivaled in intensity only by the world-wide Flood of Noah's day, as God will pour out His wrath on the sin-cursed earth. It speaks of the political intrigues that will lead to the ascendancy of the most evil and powerful dictator the world has ever known. Finally, and most terrifying of all, it describes the final judgment and the sentencing of all rebels, angelic and human, to eternal torment in hell. The book of Revelation is thus a book of astounding drama, horror, and pathos. Yet, amazingly, it is also a book of hope and joy with a happy ending, as sin, sorrow, and death are forever banished.
Reflecting on the Text
1. Should the reality of Satan and his evil intent alter the way you approach each day? If so, in what ways? If not, why not?
2. Given the fact that Satan is a sworn enemy of God and His servants, how can you practically and specifically better support your pastor and church leaders this week?
3. What insight or truth from this lesson do you find most meaningful (i.e., comforting or convicting)?

1. Yes, we should seek to lead more people to Christ because if we dont reach out Satan will have them under his control. This should encourage us to live more for God and have a passion for burning souls.
2. I can help in the church and serve in the church in anyway possible. I can also be of encouragement to him by thanking him for all his teachings, etc.
3. Comforting, it is important to share the Gospel but I think we need to learn to encourage and comfort the Christians around us. Everyone likes to be encouraged every once in a while.

Yes. because if we just go through life not thinking about it then we wont have our guard up when he comes our way. that happened to me on monday. but God was right there to help me out =) so it caught me off guard but i still didnt give in. it was alot harder to walk away though.

just like we need support, comfort them in hard times and just be there for them. and also by giving. if we support our church, then we support those in charge of the church.

well...i kinda missed the whole thing but just from my knowledge of the book, just how "action packed" it is. and how it tells what is going to happen is in a way really amazing. and just shows how awesome our God is!
1. Yes. Because you don't even realize all the sins you commit each day, and every time you give int temptation, satan has won:(
2. We need to do all we can for our Church and be a testimony to everyone.
3. it has been convicting for me because i feel like i haven't spent enough time with God and that i have become so selfish that i can't even take 5 or 10 minutes out of my day to do mt devotion but i have plenty of time for facebook or meebo:(
