Acts: The Spread of the Gospel

This study is taken from John MacArthur's "Acts: The Spread of the Gospel." My prayer and goal for this devo is that we will learn more about how the early church laid the foundation for what we possess today, and that we would allow God to use us to turn our world upside for Him!

This will be an exciting journey, so encourage others to join you! I'm looking forward to the interaction we will have on this blog as we study the book of Acts!

The devos will differ in format from day to day, but two things are constant: 1) a daily reading, and 2) additional Scripture passages that are in bold. Be sure to read any and all of the readings/bold verses that appear so that you can see the full picture of what is taught that day.

Remember, you can access any of the previous devos that have been posted from the "Blog Archive" section on the left side of this page.

1. They were the only ones that could learn the song, because the were redeemed from the earth. I think they are singing.
2. one was saying Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city.
another was saying If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand. another said Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. another said came out of the temple which is in heaven. another said came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
3. The song of Moses is saying that God is almighty.

1. The had the sign of the Father on their foreheads. They were singing a song unto the Lord.

2. One was taking the word of God unto each nation, the second one was saying, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.", and the last one was saying, "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

3. it is a song worshiping God for delivering them out of Egypt. It is saying that God is almighty.
