Revelation gives us a glimpse of who Jesus really is and the glory and power that are His. For more insight about Jesus, read Philippians 2:5-11.
Exploring the Meaning
1. What do you learn here about Jesus' identity? How is this identity affirmed in Revelation 1?
2. What does Philippians 2 say about Christ's past humiliation and its relationship to His present and future exaltation?
3. Read Matthew 24:29-30 and 25:31. What do these passages add to your understanding of the second coming of Christ?
4. Read John 11:25 and 14:6. What do these verses say about Christ being "He that liveth" (Revelation 1:18)?

1. That he humbled himself to come to the earth. Yet God gave him power and raised him so high that every knee bends at his name and everyone confesses that he is Lord. In revelations one, John again reminds us of the glory of God. Through the description given we can see a little bit of all his power.
2. It says that he was humble enough to go down to our level and be like one of us, and this is the reason why God exalted him and gave him a name above all name, because of that sacrifice.
3. It mentions that his second coming will be a glorious one. Everyone will see him, and he will be surounded by angels.
4. He is the only one who has life and can give life. The only way to reach eternal life is through him. It also denies any religion that says that Christ is dead, because it clearly states that he is the one who lives.
1. That He is equal with God and that one day He would be exalted and confessed as Lord to the glory of His Father.
John sees Christ in all His glory, power, and authority, just as Paul wrote about.
2. He became a servant and experienced a shameful and horrible death. However, God the Father exalted Him to the highest position with a name that is the exact opposite of shame.
3. That all of heaven will rejoice in His coming and that He will rule and reign in a position that He entirely deserves!
4. Since Christ is the resurrection and the life, anyone who believes in Him will experience that same life. The only way to the Father is through the risen Savior. There is no other way to have eternal life.

1. He is perfect and humble, he gave his life for us even though we pushed him away. he loves us enough to die for us. we need to act like him. he is the ultimate role-model. in revelation 1, it shows how powerful God is, but he says for us not to be afraid for he is the one who died for us.
2.because Jesus is our one and only savior, and that he died on the cross for our sins, every tongue will confess that he is Lord.
3.Everyone will finally see that he is the real Christ, and those who have chosen not to exept him will mourn. he will be above all.
4.it says that even though the one who believe in Christ will die, they will still live in heaven forever.

what we think of the humbleness of Jesus is nothing compared to how degree that he really humbled himself. I mean with how he showed himself in all his glory and how he suffered in his life on earth.
it was greater than we could ever imagine.
2. What does Philippians 2 say about Christ's past humiliation and its relationship to His present and future exaltation?
That the amount of humiliation he suffered threw on earth was how much he was going to be exhalted in heaven.

it shall be one that all shall have to humble themselves and admitt his glory.

that he had defeated (the only one ever) to defeat death in his resurrection. is able to give life
