Revelation 4:1-5:14
Truth for Today
The events described in these two chapters anticipate the holocaust of divine judgment about to be poured out on the sinful, rebellious, cursed earth (Revelation 6-19). Awestruck by the indescribable majesty of God's throne, and the flashes of lightning and peals of thunder that proceed from it, the cherubim and elders begin a series of hymns of praise to God. Those hymns celebrate God as Creator and Redeemer, rejoicing that He is about to take back what is rightfully His. This is the moment that all Christians and the entire creation long for.
Reflecting on the Text
1. How can glimpsing true worship in heaven help us better worship here on earth?
2. Describe your own habits of worship. Is it passionate and exuberant? Or is it restrained and distracted? Why?
3. Knowing that the redeemed in heaven will include people from "every tribe and tongue and people and nation" (5:9), what should our attitude be toward other races, countries, and cultures?
4. What new insights have you gained into heaven from this study? How can this affect your life today so that you have more of an eternal perspective?

1. so we can learn more about God more we get to heaven and see him face to face.
2. i think i am exuberant because i listen to the Joy FM every chance i get and i go to church every week.
3. we should love every one even our enemies because God loves every one so we should to.
4. we shold treat other the way we want to be treated, because if you treated other the way you want to be treated then you will probably get more people that you can share the God's Word with.
1. It can help us get a good idea of what true worshiping is.
2. I try to keep it moderate, i don't restrict it, but I'm also careful not to go overboard and turn into into an emotional thing.
3. I should treat them like normal (they are just like us) and not have any prejudice or hate towards them.
4. It has really helped me understand better a little bit of the glory of God and all his mighty.
1. It can help us understand how important worshiping God is and that we should not take it lightly and how much God loves it.
2. I listen to music that praises the Lord everyday and i sing along. I also try to read the Bible a lot and i pray a lot. I think most of the time it is passionate but there are those times when it is restrained. Like if I am trying to worship late at night but most of the time i put my whole heart in it.
3. We need to first treat everyone equally with love and compassion, secondly tell everyone the love of Christ, and lastly do all we can for others and show with our lives to everyone the love of Jesus Christ.
4. It has showed me how important it is to live for God because you never know how much time you have on this earth and that worshiping God should be part of my life everyday because it is really important to God.
