Acts: The Spread of the Gospel

This study is taken from John MacArthur's "Acts: The Spread of the Gospel." My prayer and goal for this devo is that we will learn more about how the early church laid the foundation for what we possess today, and that we would allow God to use us to turn our world upside for Him!

This will be an exciting journey, so encourage others to join you! I'm looking forward to the interaction we will have on this blog as we study the book of Acts!

The devos will differ in format from day to day, but two things are constant: 1) a daily reading, and 2) additional Scripture passages that are in bold. Be sure to read any and all of the readings/bold verses that appear so that you can see the full picture of what is taught that day.

Remember, you can access any of the previous devos that have been posted from the "Blog Archive" section on the left side of this page.

1. Mount Everest is nothing compare to the greatness of God, is like comparing an insect to the worlds tallest building, it is unimaginable.

2. Mt. Everest is like dust next to got, is like a grain of sand next to God.

3. It is so much easier to get to know God because he is accesible, unlike most mountains which are very hard to climb, God allows us to know him more, all we need to do is read his word and follow him

1. God can do wonders, unlike Mt. Everest. It is very hard to compare Mt. Everest to God, it is kind of like comparing a grain of sand to the Great Wall of China.
2. Mt. Everest is kind of like a pebble next to God.
3. Climbing Mt. Everest is a very hard task that some people do not even live through, while truly getting to know God is easy. All you have to do is read His Word and spend quality time with Him in prayer. He loves us, which no mountain can ever do.

questions:

1.mount everest isnt even close to God, its a bunch of nothing.

2.well, mount everest is like a grain of sand on a beach compared to God, its like a pre-mature ant compared to God (trying new sayings out lol dont even know if a pre-mature ant exsists lol)

3.well, i would say getting to know God is easier. i mean, all you have to do to get to know God is read your Bible, pray, and going to church helps, you just have to take time to know him as you would any of your other friends. Also, you dont have to put yourself in danger like climbing mt. everest (lol) to get to know God.
